Breast lipofilling
Breast lipofilling is a technique for breast augmentation injection of own fat (autologous fat).
The fat is removed by a conventional technique of liposuction in areas where it is deemed unsightly. Special cannulas are used to preserve the viability of the graft. The fat is then purified. Two techniques are possible centrifugation and purification.
Lipofilling is somewhat painful. Bruising and swelling are mandatory and require 3-4 weeks to resorb.
The limits of this operation are:
The difficulty in finding sufficient quantities of fat in lean patients.
The partial resorption (fat melting/fatty deposits/cellulite) which often involves practicing a second injection session.
The enhancement limited in the size of the breast by this technique (a maximum breast cap).
